These loafers look like soft loafers, even though they are heavier than La Chameau. They will eventually wear out and I’m certain I will return to La Chameau. This boot is much more comfortable for me. The buckle at the top seems a bit deeper. They also offer a leather-lined version. It’s still expensive at five hundred dollars and is in a different price range.

A pair of great serviceable boots is only $155.00. Although they are comfortable, the boots were a little too big for me. Hunter Wellies is certainly expensive for the quality of the materials, especially when you consider that Hunter Wellies offers the same materials at a lower cost. Hunter was granted a royal warrant by the Duke of Edinburgh in 1976. The Queen followed suit in 1986. It had a profound impact on British society. By the 1980s, the boot was a staple of every gentleman’s country attire.

They wore vulcanized rubber boots, which meant they were more painful on their feet. Hunter made rubber boots for the British Army during WWII, but they were no longer acceptable for public wear. This was a great thing for the company. Hunter Wellies has a rich brand history. It comes in a beautiful box that makes you feel special. There is a logo inside the boot and the hunter brand at the top. Vulcanized rubber is still a great material for rain boots. Dubarry boots would be a good alternative.

If you’re willing to spend that much on basic footwear, and if you prefer to purchase at the top end of the market for quality, consider “Aigle” or the “Le Chameau”, which are superior to the Hunter. The “Cotswolds”, which are a cheaper but more durable option, retail for around GBP. You don’t have to care if your wellies are British-made. “Dikamars” is made in Portugal and worn not only by the wealthy and famous but also by farmers and fishermen. If you just want wellies that are wellies, an ordinary Dunlop will do the trick. A non-name product is also an option. For myself, I have several pairs of no-nonsense boots that I purchased from “Hoggs of Fife”, a small Scottish outfitter.

Is It Worth It: Hunter Wellies

While they may look older than others, some people don’t mind. However, this is not a reason why boots are more appealing. Hunter today is a well-known British heritage brand that makes rain gear. They are based in Scotland. Update: The boots arrived finally and they are fantastic. Poor service, but great product. Although I ordered what I thought were good boots, when they arrived they were not a perfect fit. As with everyone who has ordered from Aigle, the boots did not arrive, and tracking was then lost. I did not read the review. I assumed that it would be okay because it was a well-known company.

Amazing Customer Service For Faulty Boots

Aigle should set up a UK logistics hub to process their returns. The current system is utterly hopeless. I am off to sell these new PS80 wellies online.

They can last for decades if you take good care of them. However, they are not my favorite rain gear. Nordstrom Rack recently offered a half-off pair of Hunter Balmoral Field Boots.

Northern California is very accommodating when it comes to style and dress. For the moment, I will save money on boots and tell a story. A pair of Hunters I own is so old that they were made in Scotland.

I will never shop at their website again, and I highly recommend it.

Are Hunter Wellies Rain Boots Worth It?

Although my Aigle Parcours 2 ISO sole split after 18 months, the customer service was outstanding. For use on-location shooting in the country, I purchased some “gumboots” from Woolworths 38-years ago. I would like to see a comparison between rubber overshoes. Many people go to places looking good when it’s dry, but when it rains, they end up with wet, uncomfortable shoes. So I looked and found that boots with the same material and the same lining are available for as low as $40. They also offer the same level of comfort. Although the side adjusters are an excellent addition to most rubber boots, they do not allow you to adjust the width where it is most needed, particularly for large calves.

Aigle refused to cover half of the costs. They told me to call them to complain and that I would have to send them back from the UK to France. I would be refunded, but they required proof of postage. After they had emailed me to inform me that it was being passed to a department, I received an email at 2 pm confirming that they were processing a complete refund. Although I cannot speak for the products, I would have loved to read their reviews.

This is me, a funeral director. Our cemetery is located in Northern California’s green-eco-friendly hillside. I’m constantly switching between leather sole shoes and boots. I have a pair of off-brand rain boots that you can tuck into the leg. They are waterproof, breathable, and easy to clean in rain or shine. I am still searching for the perfect hybrid that is both outdoor and indoor-friendly.
